About Shekinah
Shekinah Christian Training Center (SCTC) is a school established in 1993 by a group of Christian pastors, educators, and parents whose dream was to have their own children receive quality Christian education. The school uses the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) system — an education curriculum recognized around the world, and used in 145 countries by over 6,000 schools. SCTC is Department of Education (Philippines) recognized and it maintains its Model School status under the School of Tomorrow Philippines.
Shekinah Christian Training Center’s mission since its inception is, “Educating Lives for God’s Glory.” The school seeks to raise future leaders and productive members of society who pave their way to success guided by Biblical principles and truths. Character building and academic excellence are two of the greatest strengths of this school. Graduates from this school move on to reputable colleges and universities globally and excel.
Adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic
The abrupt changes the country had to implement due to the unforeseen circumstances of the pandemic caused a pause in face to face classes. Despite the unforeseen situation, Shekinah quickly adapted and adjusted to the situation. Because of the teachers’ commitment and the modular A.C.E. curriculum, the school was able to continue to operate online. The students continued to study; the senior high school was able to even conduct their thesis defense where they defended their thesis to a panel.
Today, Shekinah continues to operate through online classes since the start of the school year with the faculty trained for the current technology and equipped to educate the students, while maintaining the regular opening assemblies, weekly chapel hour, and daily student devotions.
